Hi everyone, please update your bookmarks to the new blog!

Wow, I can’t believe we are already in February! I will be traveling for the next two weeks, so the best way will be to reach me through email or on the contact form on the website. I’m really excited about this small personal project that I am taking on and I hope to have some neat stuff to show in the next couple of weeks from it.

In the meantime, I thought I would share this super fun video of my in-laws’ dog. Missy is one of the most well-trained dogs I have ever met, and one of her fun quirks is that she celebrates Christmas! You can see what I mean here:

Remember the Obama posters during the presidential election? Well, whatever your political standing may be, this really fun website allows you to creatively express yourself..in an Obama poster format. There are some hilarious ones at their website.

LOL, within our group of friends and family, I do like to remind them that, Without Me, It’s just Aweso. Have fun playing, especially the night before the inauguration!

Last week Pauline put together some gorgeous florals. She is one multi-talented woman! I loved the small details in each of her floral pieces. Here are a few:

Whew. Well, I have to say go check out the website! I spent some time updating the website with new photos and galleries, text and slight music change.

I have to always, always thank Brian for giving me his feedback too. And I just have to share my newest favorite photo of Brian, taken the week before last while we were in D.C. at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. I love his thoughtful expression and his profound interest in science-y things:

Last weekend I attended a seminar given by David Schwartz and I have to admit that I left feeling both exhilarated and overwhelmed! There was so much to learn and I am so thankful that I have been able to develop good relationships with my fellow attendees: David and Kristy, Jennifer, Stephanie and DeAnna.

I’ve pretty much spent this past week revamping the business (you can probably tell by the look of this blog!) and also working on getting the new website together. Although this was my first photography seminar, I have to say that David did a fantastic job freely giving and sharing his knowledge.

I know, I know, it has been a while since my last post! You’re probably noticing the new look of the blog and this is kind of a hint of good things to come for Photos By Vera. We’re in the middle of revamping the website as well. I can’t wait until we go live.

Please excuse any hiccups as we are diligently working on improving our content.

It seems like everyone today has an account, knows someone who has an account or is thinking of opening an account with Flickr! I had a personal one that I used to send to family and friends, especially if they were out-of-state, but even my mom, who lives about 10 minutes away, loves to check my Flickr photos!
